Katy Raine is a 22 year old indie author born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Her writing journey began all the way back in elementary school with her first ever work titled "Hearts." Her fascination with literature led her to Wofford College, where she received her BS in Biology and English with a concentration in Creative Writing.
Notes From Raine
I have been writing and reading stories for as long as I can remember. Literature has never not been a part of my life. I have been the ultimate bookworm all the way from elementary school to this very day. The main genre I read is fantasy and any subcategories for that. I'm not particularly picky with my books so long as there is at least a little romance/tension sprinkled in throughout. I will be the first to say that my book taste is very vast, as I can go from reading classics such as Jane Eyre to fucked up romances like God of Malice. Like I said, not picky haha. ​

The genres I write follow this trend. I will write anything fantasy, though I've noticed I have a tendency to do things that are more scifi related. I love creating worlds, languages, characters, everything. I have a lot that goes on in my mind and I'm always working on more than one thing at a time. Creating these things and sharing them with the world is a scary experience. Getting to explore these characters on my own and then share them with the world isn't something I was fully ready to do when I started writing, but I've come to realize that I'll never know the joy of sharing my work if I don't...ya know...share my work. It's a tricky thing to begin getting your foot in this world, but it's worth it nonetheless.
I'm not sure how my writing/publishing journey will go, but I do know it's what I want. So, to all the undecided writers out there, just give it a chance. Who knows what will happen.
